Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IMSA GTD Car Chief to join our dynamic racing team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of motorsport engineering and a passion for high-performance vehicles. As the Car Chief, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the preparation, maintenance, and performance of our race cars, ensuring they meet the highest standards for competition.
Requirements:
- Lead the car preparation process, including assembly, setup, and maintenance of race vehicles.
- Collaborate with engineers and mechanics to develop and implement performance strategies.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all components to ensure compliance with IMSA regulations.
- Manage the logistics of parts and equipment for race events, ensuring timely availability.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle performance data and modifications.
- Supervise a team of technicians during race weekends, ensuring efficient operations in the garage.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during practice or race conditions, implementing quick solutions.
Knowledge / Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience in a similar role within motorsport (3 years minimum on GT cars or prototypes in IMSA, WEC, or ELMS).
- Strong technical knowledge of race car systems.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments typical of racing events.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Willingness to travel extensively for races and testing sessions.
- A valid driver's license is required
