Job Summary:
Alaska OverviewConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.2 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2022. The company produced an average of 200 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2022. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Description
Alaska Finance is seeking a candidate for an Authority for Expenditure (AFE) Administrative Coordinator to provide support for the appropriation request process for all of Alaska. A successful candidate should have strong analytical, communication and organizational skills as collaboration with multiple internal organizations is required.
Job Description:
Your responsibilities may include:
- Set-up capital and expense appropriation requests in SAP for all Alaska assets
- Maintain SAP due diligence routings for AFEs as personnel changes occur
- Verify delegation of authority for appropriation reviewer and approver
- Work with analysts when necessary to ensure the appropriation is set up correctly
- Educate new AFE initiators and assist with questions
- Assign and track AFE numbers for all Kuparuk and Alpine projects
- Document process and continuously update AFE forms as new information develops
- Perform month-end drilling allocations for Kuparuk and Alpine drilling operations
- Monitor allocations versus spending while working with financial analysts and operations
- Provide back-up coverage on an as-needed basis for financial analysts
- Other projects and/or ad hoc requests as they arise
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- 1 years of experience in an administrative role
- Intermediate level proficiency with MS O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams
Preferred:
- 1 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Basic proficiency in SAP accounting system
- Advanced level communication skills (written, oral, presentation)
- Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
- Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
