Duties
- Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing detailed property tours and answering all questions about leasing terms, amenities, and community features
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry into Yardi or OneSite property management systems
- Verify applicant information, including income documentation, credit reports, and landlord references, ensuring compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and Section 8 regulations
- Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents accurately while explaining lease terms clearly to applicants
- Conduct conflict management to resolve tenant concerns or disputes professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate property showings, follow-up communications, and upselling of available units to maximize occupancy rates
- Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, tenant records, maintenance requests, and compliance paperwork
- Collaborate with property management teams on property maintenance issues and facilities management to ensure a high-quality living environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property leasing, property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related federal/state compliance standards
- Proficiency in OneSite or similar property management software; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette and relationship management abilities
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict resolution, and contract management within a real estate or office setting
- Administrative experience including data entry, filing, legal documentation handling, and office procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is desirable
