Position Summary
Working with the Producer, Account Executive, Senior Account Manager, and CSR, the Account Manager builds effective, personalized, working relationships with their clients and supports the day-to-day, as well as marketing, renewal, and open enrollment process.
Essential Functions
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients.
- Respond to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, claims, and billing clarification in a timely manner, via email and phone.
- Collaborate with our internal sub-departments including analytics, technology, wellness, Ben Admin/COBRA, to ensure client needs are met.
- Support the marketing process, sending RFPs, organizing carrier replies and follow ups, entering the renewal options in a workbook, strategizing with the other team members on appropriate solutions/recommendations.
- Organize and present at client meetings, both employer and employee, both in-person and virtual.
- Prepare communications including client presentations and coordinate all carrier/vendor needs.
- Generate open enrollment material (i.e. enrollment guides, election forms, presentations, etc).
- Ensure clients remain compliant with all local and federal requirements, including annual notices, reporting, etc.
- Monthly reporting for data-driven clients.
- Other tasks as determined by the Account Executive or Senior Account Manager.
Required Education and Experience
- A current Illinois Life, Accident & Health Insurance License.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in group insurance, preferably at a Brokerage Firm.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of employee benefits and the industry.
- Superior customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in internet-based applications as well as MS Office Suite; specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Applied Epic is preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending. The employee rarely lifts and/or moves items over 20 pounds.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
