Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items in accordance with company standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during busy hours while maintaining food safety standards.
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior barista experience or coffee industry background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
