Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead and elevate quality systems within a growing manufacturing environment. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on the production floor, collaborates well across teams, and is passionate about building and improving systems—not just maintaining them.

What You’ll Do

Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable standards
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements

Audit & Compliance

• Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolution

Continuous Improvement

• Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis initiatives
• Reduce defects, waste, and process variation

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, records)
• Track and report quality KPIs, trends, and compliance metrics

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor quality staff (inspectors, technicians)
• Promote a culture of accountability and quality ownership

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with production, engineering, supply chain, and customer service
• Resolve quality issues and support product/process improvements

Training & Development

• Deliver training on quality standards, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate training records within the QMS

Supplier Quality

• Oversee supplier audits, approvals, and performance
• Support FAI and PPAP processes for new products and suppliers

Cost of Quality (COPQ)

• Analyze and reduce costs related to scrap, rework, and returns
• Partner with Finance and Operations on data-driven decisions

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems
• Experience with audits, CAPA, and QMS implementation
• Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Education:
A bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred—but not required. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.

Work Environment & Schedule

• 100% onsite in Lawrence, MA
• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 1st shift
• Occasional flexibility may be needed to support off-shift quality issues
