Description:

Join a Growing Aerospace Manufacturing Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to support quality operations within a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products, materials, and documentation meet customer, engineering, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or aerospace quality inspection, strong blueprint reading skills, and a passion for ensuring product conformity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Incoming Inspection & Documentation Review

• Perform incoming inspection of materials, components, and documentation.
• Verify supplier certifications, test reports, and supporting quality documentation.
• Confirm compliance with purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.

First Article & In-Process Inspection

• Conduct first piece inspections to validate production setup and process readiness.
• Perform in-process inspections to verify ongoing product conformity.
• Identify defects, trends, and process issues early to prevent escapes.
• Verify rework activities and confirm corrective actions before production continues.

Final Inspection

• Perform final inspections to ensure products meet all drawing, specification, and contractual requirements.
• Review inspection records and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Support customer and regulatory quality requirements throughout the release process.

Nonconformance & Corrective Action Support

• Document nonconformances accurately within quality systems.
• Provide detailed inspection findings to support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist in verifying the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner closely with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Communicate quality concerns promptly and professionally.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and opportunities for process enhancement.

Qualifications

Required

• Experience in manufacturing and/or aerospace inspection
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Proficiency with inspection equipment including:
• • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • CMM reports
  • Other precision measurement tools
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Excellent problem identification and communication skills

Preferred

• Aerospace industry experience
• Experience working within quality management systems (QMS)
• Familiarity with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes
