CNC Mill Operator
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm - MUST Train on 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm for roughly 2 weeks.
Notes:
- No drug test required
- Stand-out Skills: Mechanical aptitude and anything involving molding: compression molding, injection molding, and plastic extrusion.
- Strongly prefer candidates with CNC experience
- “Must-Haves”: Adherence to all safety policies, great attendance, & the willingness to work overtime, when necessary.
- OT would be available after the two-week training period
- Interviews are in person, and there is only one (1) interview, and a decision is made after the manager reviews.
- No PPE is required for the interview.
- The site is not climate-controlled.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety-conscious and quality-focused manner. The role is accountable to load parts in the machine, cycle the machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Utilize hand tools to deburr, de-gate, or polish and package all production in accordance with the router steps and stamp off operations before moving to the next operation. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
• 6 months’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience working on CNC machines is strongly preferred
• Technical aptitude/trainability
• Ability to perform visual inspections and identify non-conforming parts and escalate to the proper personnel
• Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, etc.
• Demonstrate basic blueprint reading
• Ability to follow work instructions, understand/run a control plan, take measurements, and run a machine
• Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead
