Job Title: Manufacturing Associate (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $21.50 – $26.50/hr 10% shift differential
Location: Newark, DE
Duration: Temp to Perm
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Position Summary
The Manufacturing Associate performs a variety of electro-mechanical and mechanical assembly operations on components, subassemblies, and final products. This role includes wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and general assembly work.
The position supports production activities, including rework and quality testing, while ensuring all procedures and standards are followed. The associate will work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment and address any hazards immediately
- Meet production goals related to quality, efficiency, and safety
- Organize and verify components prior to assembly
- Assemble subassemblies and final products following procedures and documentation
- Perform soldering operations in alignment with industry standards
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and assembly equipment
- Complete all required quality and production documentation
- Meet standard production cycle times consistently
- Use test equipment to support production processes
- Identify and report non-conforming materials and support documentation processes
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Support process validations and recommend improvements
- Assist with documentation updates under engineering guidance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team discussions
- Maintain 5S standards within the work area
- Complete required training and maintain accurate records
- Perform inventory and work order transactions using internal systems
- Retrieve and review documentation as needed to support production
- Maintain accurate data entry and material tracking
- Follow production schedules and support overtime and weekend work as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Approximately 1–3 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience
- Experience working with ERP or production systems is a plus
