Job Title: Golf Cart Attendant

Department: Golf Shop (Dept# 61)

Reports to: Head Golf Professional; Assistant Golf Professional

FLSA status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Full-Time / Part-Time Status: Part-Time (20 hours and Seasonal)

Salary range: $12.00 per hour based on experience plus TIPS

Location: 33 Connestee Trail, Brevard, NC

Position Summary:

Position Summary

Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA) is a semi-private, member-owned community located in Brevard, North Carolina, encompassing more than 3,900 acres of private property. The Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional member and guest service while maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the cart staging area, bag room, and practice facilities.

This position ensures golf carts are prepared, properly maintained, and safely operated, while supporting the overall golf experience through attention to detail and a strong service mindset. The Golf Cart Attendant serves as a visible and welcoming presence in outside golf operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Member & Guest Service

  • Greet members and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with unloading and loading golf bags onto carts.
  • Provide clean, properly functioning golf carts for play.
  • Clean clubs upon completion of rounds and properly store bags as needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with Golf Shop staff regarding tee sheet updates and player flow.
  • Provide assistance to members and guests throughout their visit as needed.

Cart Operations & Maintenance

  • Set up golf carts daily according to tee sheet.
  • Clean, wash, and store all carts at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all battery chargers are connected and functioning properly.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate cart usage and maintenance records.
  • Ensure sand bottles on carts and course stations are filled.
  • Secure cart storage areas at closing.

Practice Facility & Grounds Support

  • Set up and maintain driving range and short game areas.
  • Pick the driving range daily; ensure complete cleanup prior to scheduled mowing.
  • Keep practice facilities clean, organized, and properly supplied.
  • Maintain cleanliness of staging areas, bag room, and cart garage.
  • Ensure ice water stations are stocked and clean.
  • Monitor overall appearance and safety of outside golf areas.

Operational Support

  • Assist with tournament staging and cart organization.
  • Monitor practice areas for safety and proper usage.
  • Communicate daily with golf professional staff regarding course conditions and operations.
  • Follow all CFPOA safety, health, and service standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Golf Professional staff or management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous golf course, outdoor labor, maintenance, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of golf and golf etiquette preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate golf carts and light equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Do repetitive tasks with few breaks, at sporadic points of the day, week, or year.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Work Schedule: Shifts: 6:30 am - 2pm, 11am - 4pm, 2pm - 8pm. Golf-course is open 7 days a week, Availability on weekends is required.
