Connell Foley LLP is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to work with the Trust & Estate Group. This position involves assisting the team with fast-paced, document intensive projects and a busy workload. Must have experience with trusts, tax and estate planning, probate, etc.
Responsibilities include participating in all facets of the Group’s needs, such as:
- Dealing directly with clients and advisors on requests for documents;
- Assist with estate administration issues; assist on estate planning matters (including the preparation of various needed forms, such as insurance and retirement forms, deeds, etc.);
- Document and file management;
- Prepare and assemble complex client planning and other packages;
- Assist with estate/fiduciary litigation projects (traditional litigation skills);
- Manage invoices for various outside service providers (corporate filing providers, trust companies, etc.), as well as other possible tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years law firm experience.
- Strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Excellent organization, writing, time management, proofreading, and computer skills are essential.
