Accounting Specialist part time

Join a growing and established furniture retailer as an Accounting Specialist, where you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and documentation
• Support payroll processing and employee expense reporting
• Work closely with operations, sales, and management teams to ensure financial accuracy
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Qualifications

• 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience in retail, furniture, or consumer products industries preferred
