Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mandeville, LA for a Recruitment, Retention and Employee Development Officer. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions across various departments. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing retention strategies, tracking turnover trends, and collaborating with leadership to improve employee engagement and workplace culture. The Officer will develop and deliver training and development programs, support performance management initiatives, and maintain accurate HR documentation and records. This role also involves ongoing communication with employees and managers, conducting research on best practices in recruitment and development, and ensuring alignment with company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization
- Research skills for analyzing workforce data, industry trends, and best practices in recruitment, retention, and employee development
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources, preferably in an industrial or distribution environment
- Knowledge of employee development, training design, and performance management processes
- Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
