What are the responsibilities and job description for the Second Shift Supervisor position at Connector Castings?
Connector Castings is seeking a dependable, full-time 2nd Shift Supervisor at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is responsible for leading and supporting our foundry employees, maintaining a safe and productive work environment, and ensuring quality and efficiency goals are met.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, addressing issues as they arise, and working alongside the team to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervisor and coordinate daily activities of 2nd shift foundry employees
- Assign work and ensure employees understand job responsibilities and safety requirements
- Work closely with maintenance and management to communicate equipment issues and production needs
- Identify production, equipment, quality or staffing issues and take appropriate action to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
- Review and approve employee timecards for payroll processing
Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing, foundry, machining, or industrial environment preferred
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Dependable attendance and ability to consistently work the assigned 2nd shift schedule
