Logistics Coordinator

Connections Personnel is hiring for a temp to hire Logistics Coordinator with 8-10 years of experience for our client located in Edison, NJ. Looking for a candidate with Logistics background that will be an operational link between suppliers, warehouse staff and transport carriers to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Processing bill of ladens.
• Keeping accurate records.
• Use IT systems to manage delivery times and transport costs; use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
• Handling out bound freight.
• Coordinate end-to-end freight operations across multiple carrier partners and distribution center locations.
• Manage trailer placement, shipment releases, BOL processing and delivery appointment scheduling.
• Act as main point of contact between shippers, receivers and dispatch teams to resolve operational issues.
• Handle shipment delays, trailer shortages and carrier assignment challenges to ensure smooth operations.
• Support carrier selection and rate coordination to ensure cost-effective transportation decisions.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based tracking system to monitor shipment releases across multiple locations.
• Improve operational visibility and organization by implementing structured tracking processes without a formal TMS system.
• Process freight invoices in QuickBooks based on agreed rates and operational approvals.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and dispute incorrect charges to ensure billing accuracy and cost control.
• Support additional logistics, inventory, and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Must have 8-10 years of experience.
• Must have MS Office and must be proficient in Excel.
• Must have logistics background.
• Must speak English.
• Drug test/background checks done prior to starting.

Schedule: 8am-430pm Monday thru Friday.

Salary: $26-$28/hr
