Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Sr. VMware Administrator in Belleville, IL. This is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize VMware environments to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
- Oversee VMware patching, licensing, renewals, and version upgrades.
- Provide expertise in server infrastructure, ensuring system stability and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex server-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including global counterparts in Canada, to support enterprise IT initiatives.

- 8 years of experience in VMware administration, including ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and related technologies.
- Strong background in patching, licensing, renewals, and upgrades within VMware environments.
- Deep understanding of server infrastructure, virtualization best practices, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex server and virtualization issues.
- Experience working in a hybrid cloud or multi-data center environment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
