Responsibilities
Working under general supervision of the Director, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Solutions Specialist works directly with Connection sellers and their respective client portfolios to drive demand and pipeline of complex Cisco security solutions while increasing rapid acceptance of recommended solutions. After assessing the needs of the client given an analysis of the business requirements coupled with the clients' functional
objectives, the Sr. Solutions Specialist effectively designs and recommends complex Cisco security solution(s) to the client. The Sr. Solutions Specialists directly engages with the partner engineering team on design and price of the Cisco security solutions to address the clients' need(s). The Sr. Solutions Specialist trains and supports sellers in effectively packaging, pricing and presenting security solutions to clients including return on investment (ROI) and value propositions.
Serves as the subject matter expert in Cisco solutions.
Provides guidance and assists account teams in building solutions to address specific customer needs
Understands business requirements for a customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements
Understands and articulates Cisco’s architecture and services
Creates, presents and documents technical solutions
Performs in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
Drives identified major account opportunities (i.e., technical consulting, upper-level management presentations, and Cisco technology solutions) while allowing local account teams to maintain long-term ownership
Collaborates and employs thought leadership around Cisco security data center solutions with internal, partner cross-functional teams and Cisco security solutions support teams
