Position Overview
Our client, a well-established company in the heavy civil construction industry, is seeking a Help Desk Support Technician to join their IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing hands-on technical support, solving day-to-day IT issues, and delivering outstanding customer service in a collaborative office environment.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of IT support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a positive, service-oriented attitude. This position is available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day Help Desk support for end users
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues
- Provision, configure, and deploy laptops and desktop computers
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers
- Create, modify, and maintain user accounts in Active Directory
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests in a timely manner
- Document support activities and maintain accurate records
- Deliver excellent customer service while assisting users with technical issues
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Help Desk or Desktop Support experience
- Experience provisioning and configuring Windows laptops and desktops
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user account administration
- Experience supporting printers and common office hardware
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a corporate office environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to ticketing systems is a plus
