Overview
The Connection is the Medicine Foundation seeks a grounded, detail-oriented, heart-centered Event & Campus Experience Coordinator to steward meaningful community experiences for the Connection is the Medicine Foundation. These offerings occur primarily at the True Nature campus in Carbondale, CO. This role bridges operations, hospitality, and event coordination—ensuring that every gathering reflects the Foundation's values of beauty, integrity, and genuine connection.
This position works closely with the Director of Education & Programming and serves as the primary onsite lead for programs, workshops, and community gatherings.
Primary ResponsibilitiesOnsite Event Leadership & Guest Experience
- Serve as the primary onsite coordinator for all Foundation events, holding responsibility for the full onsite arc—from space preparation to guest welcome and experience, to event close and cleanup.
- Execute event setup and breakdown for indoor and outdoor spaces (chairs, mats, props, décor, A/V, signage, etc.).
- Greet and check in guests, support facilitators, and maintain a welcoming, informed, and professional presence.
- Provide brief introductions or announcements as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and energetic integrity of all spaces before, during, and after events.
Administrative & Communications Support
- Ensure accurate rosters, verify attendance against tickets purchased, and manage day-of check-ins.
- Sell last-minute tickets onsite as needed.
- Keep event information current and support the Director in maintaining registration accuracy.
- Provide marketing support: community calendars and targeted outreach for specific programs or audiences.
- Assist with gathering testimonials or reflections during events when appropriate.
- Support basic internal and campus communication needs related to events.
Team Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Work closely with the Director and campus teams to maintain smooth operations and uphold the spirit of True Nature and the Foundation.
- Respond gracefully to changing needs with awareness, professionalism, and clear communication.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident and welcoming presence.
- Excellent attention to detail; ability to multitask and pivot during dynamic event flow.
- Experience in hospitality, guest services, or event coordination preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and support physical setup/teardown.
- Tech-comfortable with registration systems and digital communication tools.
- Deep alignment with the Foundation's mission and values.
- Availability on nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Reliable transportation to the True Nature campus in Carbondale, CO. This is not a remote position.
Position Details
- Part-time: average 10–15 hours/week, varies based on event calendar.
- Hourly Rate: $22–$25 DOE
