Position: Compliance and Risk Management Specialist 1
Salary: $55,000-65,000/year
The Connection is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for agency-wide compliance, risk management, insurance, contract administration, licensing, and quality improvement activities. This entry-level professional position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in compliance and risk management within a mission-driven human services organization.
Working under the guidance of senior compliance and risk management staff, the CRM Specialist 1 supports the maintenance of critical systems and workflows related to contracts, grants, insurance, licensing, records management, document retention, and regulatory compliance. The role assists with audits, corrective action tracking, insurance-related processes, HIPAA compliance activities, and other initiatives designed to promote organizational accountability and reduce risk.
This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys managing details, organizing information, coordinating processes, and collaborating with program staff across multiple locations. The CRM Specialist 1 is expected to learn agency systems, provide dependable operational support, and progressively build knowledge of compliance and risk management practices while working closely with more experienced team members.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and one year of relevant experience. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and technology skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
