Position Overview
Connecting Signs is seeking an experienced Production Crew Member with a background in large-format digital printing and sign production. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple production tasks while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This position plays a key role in producing graphics for signs, vehicles, banners, wall murals, and other custom visual communication products.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain large-format printers, laminators, and plotters.
- Produce high-quality prints on vinyl, banner, paper, canvas, rigid substrates, and specialty media.
- Laminate, weed, mask, trim, and finish graphics for installation.
- Mount graphics to a variety of substrates including ACM, PVC, acrylic, aluminum, and foam board.
- Occasionally assist vinyl application for signs, decals, vehicle graphics, and window graphics. If experience allows.
- Assist with sign fabrication, assembly, and packaging.
- Monitor color consistency and print quality throughout production.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on production equipment.
- Maintain inventory of print media, inks, laminates, and production supplies.
- Keep the production area organized, clean, and operating efficiently.
- Collaborate with designers and installers to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in large-format digital printing or sign production required.
- Experience operating large-format printers such as HP Latex, Roland, Epson, Canon, Mimaki, or EFI printers.
- Experience using laminators, vinyl cutters/plotters, and application tables.
- Strong understanding of print production workflows, media profiles, color management, and finishing techniques.
- Experience with vinyl weeding, masking, mounting, laminating, and graphic finishing.
- Familiarity with sign substrates, adhesives, and installation methods.
- Ability to follow production specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, FlexiSIGN, ONYX RIP, Caldera, or similar RIP/software is highly preferred.
- Experience with CNC routers or flatbed cutters is a plus.
