About Us:
Connecting Generations is a social emotional learning organization that supports students through mentoring and SEL workshops. Our goal is to provide youth with the tools that they need to become emotionally strong, resilient and socially competent individuals who can successfully navigate school and life.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to facilitate in-person and online training sessions for mentors and partner organizations. You will help shape and deliver engaging, effective learning experiences that prepare both adults and youth to positively impact youth in grades k-12 through mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver interactive training sessions and workshops
- Create and update best practices in training materials and lesson plans to meet the needs of the target audience.
- Evaluate the progress and performance of trainees through assessments, observations and feedback
- Modify training methods and materials as needed to accommodate different learning styles and adapt to changing needs.
- Keep current with mentoring practices and youth development trends
- Maintain records of training attendance, activities and evaluations
- Use tools like PowerPoint, Zoom, and Microsoft Word for training delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree a plus
- 5 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, or professional training
- Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups and independently manage sessions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online training platforms
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and travel to training sites
