Schedule: Weekdays (Work schedule dependent upon the number of participating schools; therefore, we cannot guarantee the number of hours)

About Us:
Connecting Generations is a social emotional learning organization that supports students through mentoring and SEL workshops. Our goal is to provide youth with the tools that they need to become emotionally strong, resilient and socially competent individuals who can successfully navigate school and life.
Job Overview:
Our Creative Education division delivers engaging social and emotional learning (SEL) programs to students in grades K-12. As a Classroom Facilitator, you’ll lead 45-minute sessions during and after school at designated school sites, supported by school staff. Each program covers key topics designed to build essential life skills.
Responsibilities:
- Attend training to learn the assigned curriculum.
- Deliver in-person instruction to youth using our curricula and trained methods.
- Plan and organize training sessions.
- Tailor each session to youth needs and present it in a way that motivates and connects.
- Provide assistance and support to participating schools that are implementing the program.
- Maintain regular communication with school staff.
- Provide feedback regarding curriculum, program design, and program implementation.
- Provide training to school personnel as needed.
- Administer program assessments as assigned.
· Keep records of training sessions and classroom attendance.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and travel to training sites in all 3 counties.
- Demonstrate the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Manage student behavior to maintain a focused and respectful classroom environment.
- Engage and support youth from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and inclusive manner.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and whiteboard technology proficiently to support instructional activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required); advanced degree a plus
- Certified teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching in a classroom setting.
- Familiarity with social and emotional learning (SEL) strategies is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent training/presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be part of a small, collaborative work team.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and climb a minimum of one flight of stairs
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Reliable and punctual
- Curriculum writing a plus.
