Rodeo Cannabis Co.'s Marijuana Infused Products, or MIPs, kitchen is a fast-paced, regulated production environment where cleanliness, sanitation, consistency, and teamwork are essential. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking MIPs Kitchen Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in Sterling, CT.
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and fully sanitized workspace while supporting daily kitchen operations from preparation through production cleanup.
Position Summary
The MIPs Kitchen Dishwasher is responsible for washing, sanitizing, organizing, and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils, tools, workspaces, and production areas in compliance with food safety standards, facility protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Connecticut cannabis regulations.
This role is a strong entry point into the cannabis industry and supports the kitchen team by helping maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Wash, rinse, sanitize, and maintain all kitchen equipment, cookware, utensils, tools, and production items to food-safe standards.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, prep stations, floors, dishwashing areas, storage areas, and production workspaces throughout each shift.
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and keep the dish area clean, organized, and sanitary.
Support kitchen prep staff by restocking clean equipment, supplies, utensils, and packaging materials as needed.
Remove and dispose of waste and trash according to facility protocols and compliance requirements.
Assist with basic preparation tasks, kitchen organization, and production support as directed.
Identify and promptly report equipment issues, facility maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, sanitation protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices, and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain consistent attendance, reliability, and punctuality to support kitchen production schedules.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, production team members, and facility leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older in accordance with Connecticut cannabis regulations.
Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen or production environment.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, cleaning, and physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
Ability to follow strict Standard Operating Procedures in a regulated production environment.
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work on-site in Sterling, CT.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, food service, dishwashing, sanitation, or production environment.
Familiarity with food safety practices, sanitation standards, or ServSafe principles.
Experience working in a regulated manufacturing, food production, or cannabis facility.
Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a high-volume production environment.
