Company Description
Connecticut Rush is a soccer club in Connecticut with 6 separate locations. Our club is a member of the ECNL RL on the girls side and MLS Next Academy Division on the boys side. We also have a WPSL women’s team and a USL2 men’s team.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Soccer Coach located in North Branford, CT. The Soccer Coach will be responsible for planning and leading soccer practice sessions, developing players' skills and techniques, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Key tasks include instructing players in strategies and techniques to improve performance, analyzing players’ strengths and areas for improvement, and preparing teams for competitive games and tournaments. Administrative duties related to scheduling and communication with parents and other team stakeholders will also be required.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Soccer Coaching, with a strong understanding of game rules, techniques, and strategies
- Proven ability in Coaching and Education to help players of varying skill levels develop and improve
- Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with players, parents, and staff
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities
- First aid certification and CPR training are advantageous
- Experience in coaching youth sports teams is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field is a plus
- USSF and United Coaches licensure preferred
