LOCATION: CNG - CT – Stamford
HOURLY RATE RANGE: $44.06 - $52.07
Job Summary
This is a DOT safety-sensitive position. Any applicant transferring into this department from a non-safety-sensitive position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Any applicant transferring into the department or filling this position from the outside will be required to provide after hours and weekend emergency coverage on a rotating basis (on-call coverage).

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Assists in laying and grading of mains and services, installation of leak clamps and other Distribution fittings.
- Operates pneumatic paving breakers, jackhammers, tampers and other tools.
- Drives truck as required.
- Helps keep trucks and other equipment clean and orderly.
- Upon completion of training, operate backhoe and other earth moving equipment in conjunction with CNG Operations. Perform fueling, oiling and greasing of earth moving equipment.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Perform the above in accordance with safety practices of the company.
- Graduate of high school, trade school or equivalent.
- Able to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Have Connecticut MVD and must obtain a CDL-A driver’s license within six (6) months of hire with a good driving record.
- Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and sufficient amount of strength and ability to perform all duties of the classification.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must show aptitude in the safe and proper operation of a backhoe or other earth moving equipment and willingness to learn to operate this equipment.
- Must be willing and able to successfully complete company sponsored training programs in the Operator Qualification program within the two-year progression period.
