TITLE: Storekeeper Assistant
LOCATION: Wallingford, CT
SALARY : $42,888.00-$53,595.00 annual/$20.55-$25.67 hourly (new hires to state service start at the minimum)
Located in Wallingford, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is a quasi-public agency of the state of Connecticut. With a team of nearly 140 employees, we partner with over 2,800 retailers to sell our lottery and sports betting products statewide. With a strong focus on responsible gambling, we have delivered more than $11 billion to date for many valuable programs and causes and returned over $400 million to the states General Fund in the last year.
We are currently recruiting for a Storekeeper Assistant for our Warehouse. This is a 40 hour/week, first shift, position working Monday through Friday. In addition to performing a full range of basic tasks in receiving, storing and issuing of materials and supplies, you will:
- perform related duties in recordkeeping, requisitioning, or inventory control.
- pick and pack lottery orders from a computer terminal.
- receive materials and supplies.
- unpack, count, weigh and inspect for damage or non-conformance with an order.
- wrap and assemble items.
- clean and maintain shelves, bins and other storage space.
- perform other routine warehouse tasks as assigned.
As a Storekeeper Assistant you may also operate simple material handling equipment.
Experience and Qualifications
The selected candidate must be a dependable worker with interpersonal skills, some computer skills including data entry and knowledge of Microsoft Office along with the ability to follow written/verbal instructions and keep simple records. Speed and accuracy are also required.
Physical Requirements
Incumbents in this class must have adequate physical strength and stamina as you may be lifting up to 40 lbs of materials and spend much of your 8 hour day on your feet. Agility, visual and auditory alertness are also needed to be able to successfully perform these duties.
