At CIRI, we believe every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their life with support that honors who they are and where they come from.

Project Rescue serves survivors of human trafficking and unaccompanied minors across Connecticut through comprehensive case management, direct services, advocacy, and legal support—while also educating professionals and the public on how to identify and respond to trafficking. Our work is deeply collaborative, partnering with community organizations and federal, state, and local law enforcement.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and culturally responsive Case Manager to join our Trafficking Victims Assistance Program (TVAP) team. This role reports to the Director of Project Rescue and plays a critical part in supporting foreign-born adult and minor survivors of trafficking on their path to stability and healing.

What You’ll Do

As a TVAP Case Manager, you’ll walk alongside survivors as they navigate complex systems and work toward their goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing culturally and linguistically appropriate case management to foreign national adult and minor survivors of trafficking
  • Managing a caseload of up to 25 TVAP participants
  • Conducting individualized needs assessments and developing case plans that reflect each participant’s culture, language, and unique circumstances
  • Maintaining high-quality, timely documentation in accordance with CIRI and funder requirements
  • Learning and applying the Trafficking Victim Protection Act (TVPA), available benefits, and survivors’ legal rights
  • Connecting participants to services through education, referrals, outreach, and advocacy
  • Building and maintaining a network of local and pro bono resources, and tracking participant progress toward goals
  • Assisting with outreach events, professional trainings, and community education efforts
  • Traveling throughout Connecticut to support participants, attend meetings, and strengthen community partnerships
  • Supporting the agency with additional duties as needed to advance our mission

What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field (preferred)
  • Fluency in Spanish (required); proficiency in additional languages strongly valued
  • At least 2 years of experience providing services to survivors of trafficking (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable and/or underserved populations
  • Strong knowledge of local immigrant community resources
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Experience writing professional assessments and detailed case notes
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and client database systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet grant documentation requirements
  • Flexibility to occasionally provide after-hours services
  • Willingness and ability to travel statewide
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable vehicle, auto insurance, and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass required background checks

Most importantly, you demonstrate a clear commitment to CIRI’s mission and values, including respect for others, confidentiality, and appreciation for a diverse, multicultural workplace.
