About SedMed

At Sed-Med, we are dedicated to promoting the safety and independence of individuals with mobility impairments. Through innovative product solutions, we aim to enhance the quality of life for our customers and users. Our primary product is the SedMed Toilet Lift Assist, a gas-spring powered lift that mounts onto standard US toilets and assists individuals with getting on and off the toilet. It features a slow lowering mechanism to ease users down and provides a natural yet effective boost, allowing users to lift up to 80% of their body weight. As a mechanical engineering intern at SedMed, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to this mission while honing your skills and gaining valuable experience.

Marketing Internship

SedMed is seeking a creative, organized Marketing Intern to support our marketing efforts while assisting with day-to-day business operations. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking hands-on experience in digital marketing, event planning, logistics, and business operations while working with an innovative medical device startup.

• Create engaging social media content for Facebook (consumer audience) and LinkedIn (healthcare and business professionals), including writing professional, brand-appropriate captions and copy.
• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar.
• Schedule and publish posts across our social media channels.
• Create simple graphics using Canva (or similar design tools).
• Research industry trends, competitors, and content ideas.
• Assist with building and growing SedMed's influencer program, including influencer research, outreach, and relationship management.
• Monitor social media engagement and identify opportunities to improve content performance.
• Assist with preparing, packing, and shipping products, samples, and marketing materials.
• Coordinate shipping logistics for customer orders, demonstrations, and trade shows.
• Organize, inventory, and maintain trade show displays, signage, brochures, promotional items, and marketing materials.
• Assist with trade show preparation, event planning, and post-event organization.
• Support general marketing initiatives and administrative projects as needed.

About You

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Canva or similar design software is a plus.
• Interest in healthcare, aging in place, or medical devices is a plus.
• Willingness to assist with hands-on marketing and operational projects.
