About Cypher AI


Cypher AI builds AI-native infrastructure for life science R&D. We turn fragmented tools, manual workflows, and legacy ELN/LIMS systems into structured, executable, reviewable systems for biotech, pharma, and scientific teams. We are early, customer-driven, and building a new category.


We are hiring our founding go-to-market hire to build the entire commercial motion from zero. This is a hands-on, founder-adjacent role: you'll sell, market, and build pipeline — running outbound and demos, sharpening positioning, producing technical content, and turning early traction into repeatable revenue. You will work directly with the CEO and carry Cypher's mission into every customer conversation. Ideal for someone who can both close and create — comfortable on a sales call and writing the copy behind it — who moves fast and thrives in ambiguity.


What You’ll Do


  • Own go-to-market from zero. Run the full motion across outbound, inbound, content, events, partnerships, and account-based plays. Target biotech, pharma, synthetic biology, service providers, and lab operations leaders around use cases like protocol execution, ELN/LIMS modernization, data wrangling, and AI-ready lab infrastructure. Test channels fast, measure pipeline contribution, CAC, and conversion, and scale what works.


  • Carry the deals — and the mission. Run discovery, demos, and pilot conversations alongside the CEO, selling the why behind Cypher as much as the what. Turn those conversations into sharper messaging, case studies, and sales assets; build tailored decks, one-pagers, and nurture flows for high-value accounts; and make sure promising opportunities get timely, relevant follow-up all the way to a signed pilot.


  • Own product marketing and positioning. Make the technical product understandable and compelling. Refine Cypher's category narrative, value props, and competitive differentiation (vs. Benchling, legacy ELN/LIMS, internal scripts, AI copilots). Translate complex scientific workflows into clear language for scientists, R&D leaders, and technical buyers, and feed market insights back to product.


  • Build early brand and market presence. Own content strategy and execution: thought leadership, case studies, technical explainers, launch content, and core collateral (website copy, landing pages, one-pagers, FAQs). Support announcements, investor updates, and partnership launches. Define Cypher's voice: practical, technical, and serious about scientific outcomes.


  • Stand up GTM infrastructure. Operate CRM and sales/marketing automation (AI-native CRM or HubSpot). Build lead capture, attribution, segmentation, nurture flows, and dashboards. Track the funnel from visitor to lead to meeting to pilot to customer, with fast feedback loops to the founders.


What We’re Looking For


  • 5–8 years in go-to-market, sales, demand generation, product marketing, or full-stack revenue roles at an early-stage B2B company.
  • You can both sell and market — comfortable running a customer call and demo, and writing the copy, landing pages, outbound, and sales assets behind it.
  • Hands-on multi-channel execution and a strong grasp of the full funnel — pipeline, conversion, CAC, and attribution.
  • Experience with CRM and sales/marketing automation tools.
  • You sell a mission, not just a feature set, and get energy from being early. Comfort operating with limited resources and high ambiguity, working directly with founders, with strong ownership and execution standards.


Strong Plus


  • Background in life sciences, biotech, pharma, synthetic biology, scientific software, lab automation, or B2B SaaS.
  • Experience as a first or early commercial hire owning founder-led sales and go-to-market.
  • Account-based marketing for mid-market or enterprise; familiarity with ELN, LIMS, bioinformatics, or R&D software.
  • Experience marketing AI products to technical users, and comfort using AI tools to accelerate the work.


What Success Looks Like


In the first 90 days you will clarify Cypher's ICPs, personas, and target-account strategy; launch initial outbound and content-led campaigns; run discovery and demos with priority accounts; create core messaging, sales collateral, landing pages, and nurture sequences; set up CRM and funnel reporting; and help generate qualified meetings and signed pilots. Over time, you will build a repeatable go-to-market engine that creates qualified pipeline, closes pilots, improves conversion, and makes Cypher known as the AI-native infrastructure platform for life science R&D.
