Overview
Receives, stores, and distributes products within the warehouse by performing essential duties.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for loading product safely into trucks in accordance with routing manifest in a prescribed manner so as to avoid breakage or damage.
Receives and disperses product merchandise or point of sale materials in accordance with assigned storage methods and handling procedures.
Safely sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, year of vintage, or product code.
Safety handles products while loading into trucks for delivery.
Prepares split case orders by selecting product from stock based on customer invoice and placing product into shipping containers.Arranges and rotates product in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Takes inventory of stored product as scheduled by company.
Examine incoming and stored product and report any deterioration and or damage.
May perform quality control function of checker to ensure product being loaded into delivery truck matches customer invoice and picking order.
Closes and securely seals truck after loading is completed.
Obeying all safety rules, maintaining clean work area and immediately reporting accidents to supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED);or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMay be required to hold a certificate for safe driving and operating of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cherry pickers. May be required to hold a valid CDL license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be able to successfully and safely drive forklift equipment; and may be required to drive and maneuver trucks on company premises for loading purposes; and safely operate cherry picker for storing or retrieving product in warehouse.
