Position Overview

The Packaging Associate is responsible for the packaging of our cannabis products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high-quality efficiency standards. The Packaging Associate packages and prepares all products for distribution by performing all packaging tasks, including assisting with filling, labeling, packaging, storage, and record-keeping of finished cannabis-infused products.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all packaging and labeling procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with state regulations, GMPs, SOPs, and all applicable laboratory procedures.
• Proper setup and operation of filling, packaging and labeling equipment.
• Perform daily equipment checks and calibrations and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on associated equipment as required to maintain efficient operations.
• Assist in monitoring and managing equipment, supplies, and inventory.
• Weighing and counting products.
• Achieve daily output goals as assigned.
• Execute all filling and packaging procedures in an efficient manner in compliance with Company SOPs and all applicable manufacturing procedures.
• Clean-up work areas and equipment and remove and properly dispose of debris and packaging waste.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, including food safety, when applicable.
• Ad-hoc responsibilities as reasonably required.

Working Conditions

• This is a hands-on, manufacturing position working in an indoor production environment with the possibility of contact with food ingredients, chocolate, candy, water, solvents, etc.
• Baking, cannabis, or other ingredients may be present on surfaces and in the air.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the US.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, food production, packaging, or management role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and all other relevant pre-employment steps.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 .
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required.
• Kneeling, squatting, lifting, bending, walking, pivoting, and standing are also required.
