What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager - DOC and JD Recovery Coach Programs position at Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR)?
The Program Manager oversees, supports performance, coordinates, implements, evaluates and promotes all aspects of recovery coaching within the CT Department of Correction, the division of parole and DMHAS jail diversion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain excellent working relationships with CT DOC, Parole, DMHAS Jail Diversion and other initiatives as needed
• Oversee other initiatives as needed.
• Develop policies and procedures pertaining to program needs.
• Coordinate CCAR training offerings for DOC.
• Serve as facilitator when necessary.
• Supervision including one-on-one and group performance support to Recovery Coaches.
• Responsible for Recovery Coach orientation and training.
• Responsible for maintaining Recovery Coach schedule.
• Manage ongoing training and support for Recovery Coaches.
• Monitor boundary management and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with community-based service providers.
• Oversee and manage reporting for DOC, DMHAS, and Manchester HOPE.
• Oversee data tracking, report writing and record keeping.
• Ability to serve as an effective Recovery Coach when necessary.
• Some travel required.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Certificate of completion from the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy©.
• Certificate of completion of Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches© preferred.
• Certificate of completion of Coachervision© preferred.
• Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) designation or in process to earn designation.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in recovery coaching.
• Experience with the addiction recovery process.
• Capacity to provide performance support for multiple recovery coaches.
• Familiarity with recovery community, services and resources.
• Understanding of and ability to maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Cross-cultural skills and experience with culturally diverse populations.
• Strong customer service ethic.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional computer skills including database management.
The Program Manager role is a full time (35 hour/week) salaried exempt position in an office setting.
