What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Planning Manager position at Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association (CCAPA)?
Under general supervision of the Director of Planning and Development or designee, the Community Planning Manager performs administrative, technical planning, and urban redevelopment work of a complex and professional nature in assisting the management team in implementing the Department’s work program in all its phases; and related work as required. Work assignments are received from a supervisor and are usually general in nature and afford a certain amount of latitude in the exercise of independent judgment in planning work details and assigning work to subordinates. Work elements include community engagement, research, community planning analysis, writing, public speaking, and the use of various types of technology. Work is reviewed in its broader aspects for compliance with the standards and principles of community planning and urban development.
