Our client is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician / Hardware Engineer to join their team. This is a contract to permanent opportunity.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hardware professional with experience supporting electronic design, PCB development, testing, and production transition. This role will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to design, validate, document, and support complex sensor-based electronic systems.
The company is open to candidates ranging from strong Junior-level Engineers/Technicians through Senior-level Hardware Engineers who have the right technical background and hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support PCB design, troubleshooting, and hardware development activities
- Work with both analog and digital electronic circuits
- Create and maintain schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation
- Develop, write, and execute hardware test procedures and acceptance testing processes
- Validate product performance and support production release activities
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production
- Provide technical documentation and support throughout the product lifecycle
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and assist with product improvements
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with PCB design and electronic hardware development
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design
- Experience with OrCAD schematic capture preferred (experience with other schematic capture tools will be considered)
- Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Strong experience developing test procedures and acceptance testing documentation
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Ability to support engineering projects through production handoff
Salary : $35 - $50
