Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping tasks such as data entry using QuickBooks financial system
- Process payroll and record payroll entries / labor distribution into financial system
- Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Retrieve invoices directly from vendor portals as needed
- Save and organize all documents per company standard
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Monitor and manage accounts payable inbox on a daily basis
- Download daily sales from point of sale system and Stripe credit card system
- Record daily sales transactions and credit card transactions as monies are received.
- Interact with vendors and internal contacts as needed to complete daily accounting responsibilities
- Review and match all banking transaction within QuickBooks accounting system
- Monitor invoice receipts to ensure bills are received as expected
- Ensure bills are forwarded to appropriate personnel and paid within the expected timeframe
- Assist with Payroll processing and reporting
- Assist with 401k census reconciliation on an ongoing basis
- Collaborate with other departments to gather required approvals/sign-offs
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Experience:
- A degree in Accounting is preferred
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software - Strong knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
