Connected Health Care is partnering with a leading Critical Access facility in Fairfield, IL to hire an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse. Position OverviewAs an Emergency Department RN, you will deliver high-quality patient care in a community-focused hospital environment. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients experiencing urgent and emergent health needs.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients
- Triage and respond quickly to patient conditions and emergencies
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform necessary procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Uphold facility and healthcare safety standards and policies
- Required: Active RN license (IL or compact)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience preferred; critical access experience a plus
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
- TNCC preferred
- Strong critical thinking and triage skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced rural hospital setting
