Job Description:
- Provide personal care to hospice patients including bathing, dressing, and assisting with grooming.
- Monitor patient vitals such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and provide support during daily activities to maintain comfort.
- Document patient care, reporting changes in condition or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship to patients, offering emotional support and comfort during difficult times.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, including ensuring cleanliness of patient areas.
- Work in conjunction with the hospice care team to provide optimal care and ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Provide respite care for family members as needed, offering them a break while ensuring patient needs are met.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a nurse, ensuring the patient receives proper treatment.
- Current CNA certification in Colorado required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospice or palliative care setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude, with the ability to work in emotionally challenging environments.
- 40-hour work week with a consistent day shift schedule.
