Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and secure medical deliveries using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Drive a box truck or similar vehicle along designated routes to deliver medical items promptly and accurately
- Ensure all deliveries are completed with attention to safety protocols and proper handling of sensitive materials
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and clients to confirm delivery details and address any issues that arise during transit
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs for compliance and record-keeping purposes
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving supplies or inventory management when required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Prior delivery driver experience, especially in courier or route driving roles involving heavy lifting and moving supplies
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or loading docks is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers and clients
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, cargo handling, and medical specimen transport is advantageous
