Connect Staffing is hiring a Quality/CMM Operator in Houston, TX, supporting a manufacturing company. You'll mainly be inspecting and measuring precision-drilling components to ensure they meet engineering specifications and quality standards using CMM equipment.
Pay: $25–28/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–5:30 AM (Overnight shift)

Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or CMM operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, specifications, and blueprints
- Experience programming or modifying CMM inspection routines and generating inspection reports using CMM software
- Experience with gauges and precision measuring instruments (Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Indicators).
- Proficient in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and applying precision measurement standards
- Basic computer skills, including manufacturing software and database software
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar)
- Familiarity with word processing software, design software, and order processing systems
- Experience training or mentoring team members
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting measurement data using SPC and quality control tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Background in manufacturing or production environments

Responsibilities

- Prioritize and organize daily workload at the start of every shift
- Delegate tasks and set deadlines for CMM Operators and CMM Clerks
- Monitor production flow and identify where work is needed
- Inspect products to ensure compliance with order specifications and quality standards
- Measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, and surface finish
- Verify the accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications
- Prepare labor cards, job tickets, and other reports and records for the assigned area
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
