Material Handler - Manufacturing

Connect Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a warehouse / distribution facility in Henderson, NV. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.25/hr on a Monday–Friday day shift with overtime as needed. In this role, you will pick orders from pick tickets, stage outbound inventory for shipment, and unload inbound deliveries using a forklift, pallet jack, and scan gun. This facility is non–climate controlled and regularly requires overtime — candidates who are open to that schedule tend to thrive here.

Schedule: 7:00am–3:45pm, OT as needed

Responsibilities

• Pick inventory from designated bin locations using pick tickets provided by inventory control staff, scanning bins and labels to verify pick accuracy with a scan gun or handheld device.
• Stage outbound inventory for shipment, including internal and external transfers, in assigned staging areas.
• Unload inbound deliveries using a forklift or pallet jack and move materials to designated staging locations.
• Perform inventory cycle counts using a scan gun interface.
• Restock materials and components in assigned warehouse locations according to warehouse layout.
• Build and assemble accessory kits and components to support kitting or assembly operations.
• Report damaged or discrepant inventory to the Inventory Supervisor and Quality team.

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of warehouse experience including order picking, material handling, or cycle counting.
• Valid forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pallet jack operation in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, handheld scanners, or WMS (Warehouse Management System) software.
• Background in shipping, receiving, or inventory control.
• Experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment.
• Exposure to kitting, assembly support, or component staging workflows.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
