Connect Staffing is hiring a Lead Sanitor / Sanitation Lead for an industrial bakery in Los Alamitos, CA. This is a hands-on lead role working alongside the sanitation crew to clean production equipment, assign work, train team members, and make sure cleaning is completed correctly.
Spanish fluency is required. This position frequently requires overtime, with up to 20 hours of overtime per week depending on production needs.
Pay: $19.00–$21.00/hr DOE
Schedule: 5–6 days per week, Monday–Sunday
Day Shift: Start time between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Night Shift: Start time between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Hours: Typically 8–12 hours per day with frequent overtime
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Los Alamitos, CA
Language: Fluent Spanish required
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years of food production sanitation experience OR 6 months in a sanitation lead or crew lead role within a food production facility.
- Experience assigning sanitation work, training team members, or checking completed cleaning.
- Hands-on experience cleaning food production equipment using sanitation chemicals and high-pressure hoses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bakery or food manufacturing sanitation experience.
- Experience with GMP, HACCP, or food safety procedures.
- Experience taking apart and reassembling production equipment for cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside the sanitation crew.
- Assign cleaning tasks and make sure work is completed.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, and work areas.
- Take apart and reassemble equipment for cleaning.
- Check completed cleaning and make sure equipment is ready for production.
- Train team members and report sanitation or equipment issues.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Fluent Spanish required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in a wet food production sanitation environment.
- Must be available for frequent overtime, including up to 20 hours per week.
- Slip-resistant steel-toe shoes are required.
