Compounding Colorist (1st Shift)

MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN COLOR MATCHING AND COMPOUNDING

Connect Staffing is seeking an experienced compounding colorist to fill an open position for a vinyl manufacturing company in Placentia, CA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6 AM-2:30 PM. The company operates 7 days a week. MUST be available to work Saturday or Sunday.

Requirements For The Compounding Colorist

• Minimum 1 year of recent compounding colorist experience
• Must have a GED or a High School Diploma
• Must pass color match test (required)
• Forklift experience (preferred)
• Must have steel-toe boots
• Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass Background, Drug Screen, and E-Verify
• Must speak English or be Bilingual
• Prior experience in roles such as R&D Chemist (Plastics/Coatings), Compounding Specialist, Color Technician, Color Matcher, Color Specialist, and Colorist Formulator is a plus!

Responsibilities Of The Compounding Colorist

• Color match production colors to set standards.
• Ability to follow written Quality system procedure and work instructions that apply to the Job Requirement.
• Communicate to the Compounding team when the color is out of specification.
• Modify and update color standards with new tolerances.
• Qualifying Predispersions (tint strength, etc.)
• Help support Compounding when a color match is unavailable (organosol, filter, etc.).
