What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compounding Colorist (1st Shift) position at Connect Staffing?
MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN COLOR MATCHING AND COMPOUNDING
Connect Staffing is seeking an experienced compounding colorist to fill an open position for a vinyl manufacturing company in Placentia, CA.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6 AM-2:30 PM. The company operates 7 days a week. MUST be available to work Saturday or Sunday.
Requirements for the Compounding Colorist:
- Minimum 1 year of recent compounding colorist experience
- Must have a GED or a High School Diploma
- Must pass color match test (required)
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Must have steel-toe boots
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass Background, Drug Screen, and E-Verify
- Must speak English or be Bilingual
- Prior experience in roles such as R&D Chemist (Plastics/Coatings), Compounding Specialist, Color Technician, Color Matcher, Color Specialist, and Colorist Formulator is a plus!

Responsibilities of the Compounding Colorist
- Color match production colors to set standards.
- Ability to follow written Quality system procedure and work instructions that apply to the Job Requirement.
- Communicate to the Compounding team when the color is out of specification.
- Modify and update color standards with new tolerances.
- Qualifying Predispersions (tint strength, etc.)
- Help support Compounding when a color match is unavailable (organosol, filter, etc.).
