An Atlanta-based boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support multiple attorneys in a busy litigation practice. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring daily attendance. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of civil litigation experience, strong knowledge of Georgia state and federal court procedures, and the ability to effectively manage a billable workload. Employment law experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
- E-file documents in Georgia state and federal courts
- Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and litigation timelines
- Assist with all phases of discovery, including document review and production
- Conduct legal and factual research
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties
- Track time and consistently meet billable hour requirements
Qualifications
- 6 years of civil litigation paralegal experience required
- Employment law experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures
- Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines
- Experience working in a billable environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
