Built in the Trades? Ready to Develop the Next Generation?
We're looking for an experienced construction professional who is passionate about teaching others while remaining actively involved in the work. This is not a classroom training position. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work directly alongside employees on the production floor, coaching, demonstrating, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to CHB quality standards.
If you've spent years in carpentry, drywall, framing, finishing, or related trades and have naturally become the person others turn to for guidance, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
- The ideal candidate understands that successful training goes beyond showing someone how to perform a task. You will be responsible for ensuring trainees can perform the work safely, accurately, and at the pace required to meet production goals. You'll be actively involved on the floor, coaching and working alongside employees until they can consistently meet CHB's expectations for quality and efficiency.
- Train new and existing employees directly on the production floor
- Demonstrate proper construction techniques through hands-on instruction
- Work side-by-side with trainees while they learn and perform tasks
- Ensure employees can complete work both correctly and within established production timelines
- Coach team members on efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety
- Provide real-time feedback and corrective instruction as needed
- Partner with supervisors and production leadership to identify skill gaps and training opportunities
- Support onboarding efforts and help new hires become productive team members quickly
- Reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices across all departments
- 5 years of hands-on experience in construction, manufacturing, or skilled trades
- Strong background in carpentry, framing, drywall, finishing, or related construction disciplines
- Experience leading crews, mentoring employees, or training others
- Ability to effectively teach and coach employees with varying skill levels
- Strong understanding of production efficiency, quality standards, and jobsite safety
- Respected leader who leads by example and isn't afraid to jump in and demonstrate the work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A classroom-based training position
- A corporate learning and development role
- A desk job with limited floor involvement
- Stay connected to the trades without the constant travel between jobsites
- Make a direct impact on employee development and production success
- Help shape the future workforce of a growing modular construction company
- Stable work environment with long-term growth opportunities
- Competitive compensation and advancement potential
If you're ready to leverage your trade experience to develop others and help build the future of construction, we'd like to hear from you.
