What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist – Orthopedics & Strength Training position at Connect & Beyond Physical Therapy?
More Than Traditional Physical Therapy. An Opportunity to Build What's Next.
At Connect & Beyond Physical Therapy in Portland, we're creating something a little different. We bring together thoughtful orthopedic care, progressive strength training, and proactive approaches to lifelong movement health—all within a relationship-centered practice where clinical reasoning, autonomy, and human connection matter. We're looking for an experienced physical therapist who enjoys treating orthopedic patients but is equally energized by helping people build lasting strength and resilience. This unique hybrid role combines orthopedic care with our established Strength programs and Onero® bone health training, offering the opportunity to grow professionally, help shape meaningful programs, and be part of a collaborative team that believes physical therapy should extend well beyond recovery from injury. Build Strength. Move Well. Thrive for Life.
“Imagine a clinical week where you can combine the depth of orthopedic physical therapy with the energy of teaching strength, supporting bone health, and helping people continue to thrive long after rehabilitation ends.”
Physical Therapist – Orthopedics & Strength Training
We are especially excited to meet a hybrid clinician who enjoys both orthopedic physical therapy and strength-based care.
This role blends clinical depth, strength-based care, and the opportunity to help build something meaningful within a rapidly growing practice.
Your work will involve:
- Orthopedic and post-operative care
- Strength-based rehabilitation and return-to-activity programming
- Supporting or leading our Strength programs
- Training and implementation of the Onero Academy bone health program
- Helping develop programming that supports long-term movement health
Additional strengths that may align well with this role include:
- Experience or certification in Yoga or Pilates
- Strength and conditioning experience
- Group fitness or wellness programming
- Interest in longevity-focused healthcare and proactive wellness
We believe clinicians do their best when they are trusted and supported, so this role is intentionally flexible, collaborative, and designed to evolve around the strengths of the right person.
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have strong orthopedic clinical skills and reasoning
- Enjoy integrating strength training into rehabilitation
- Care deeply about helping people build long-term movement capacity
- Appreciate autonomy and thoughtful practice environments
- Are curious, growth-oriented, and excited to continue evolving as a clinician
We anticipate candidates for this role to have clinical experience, though alignment with our philosophy matters more than a specific number.
