Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teacher role located in the Waco area with Connally ISD.
- Real Behavior Support (The Team Center): One of the biggest pain points for teachers is disruptive behavior throwing off a lesson. At Connally, the Cadet Academy introduces the Team Center. If a student is disruptive, they transition to a supervised room where they Zoom into your live lesson. Your classroom stays distraction-free, you don't have to stop teaching, and the student doesn't lose learning time.
- Built-In Curriculum Fidelity & Resources: Teachers aren't forced to reinvent the wheel. We provide clear structures, high-quality Accelerated Instructional Materials (AIM) modules, and hands-on manipulatives. This means less time stressing over lesson planning from scratch and more time doing what you love: teaching.
- True Collaborative Support: You aren't stranded on an island. Principals are actively in classrooms as true instructional partners, and daily PLC structures are built in to help with lesson internalization, coaching, and data tracking.
- Exciting Spaces to Teach (Innovation Labs & Enrichment): We are bringing creativity back to the school day with dedicated Innovation Labs for hands-on, problem-based STEM/Arts projects, plus choice-based after-school enrichment hours.
Qualifications
- Relevant state teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification in appropriate subject/grade level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Ability to use educational technology and learning management tools to support instruction and communication.
- Commitment to equity, inclusive practices, and continuous professional growth.
