Second Shift position, Monday - Thursday 10-hour shifts or Tuesday - Friday 10-hour shifts
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain various precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of production processes. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines, ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce complex parts.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, inspections, and adjustments for quality control purposes.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools, including hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve machining techniques, tooling selection, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machinist with strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in machining operations.
- Skilled in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc or similar control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T standards accurately.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or general CAD principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding is a plus.
- Experience operating precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining tasks.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling.
