Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mixes paint according to Paint Mix Work Instructions.
- Moves and stores paint drums and buckets.
- Keeps spray pots clean and orderly.
- Properly maintains hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Paints surfaces evenly and consistently maintaining a steady flow of production.
- Regularly identifies any defects in parts to ensure quality of production.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
- Works safely and without injury through adherence to all safety rules and guidelines.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in the English language. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.
- Must have adequate mathematical skills to count and calculate.
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, balancing, stooping, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, acuity-far, acuity-near, depth perception and field of vision.
- Personal computer, SAP, InTouch, and other software specific to this position’s duties.
- Must be able to use but not limited to the following tools: spray gun, paint mixer, spray pots, packaging materials, utility knives, sandpaper, and PPE.
- Must understand working with the automated machinery and fixtures in the area.
Environmental & Physical Demands
- May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- May be exposed to loud operating machinery, high or low temperatures due to uncontrolled climate environment, overhead racks weighing up to 50 pounds, chemicals, and vapors.
- Employee is required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection where applicable, appropriate footwear and observe all safety rules.
