Injection Mold Tooling Specialist — Canton, NC (Day Shift)Let’s keep America’s Class 8 heavy trucks on the road—starting with precision tooling. If you’re a manual machining pro who enjoys problem-solving on large plastic injection molds, you’ll feel right at home on our Day shift.FAQsWhat will I do?Read job specs to determine machine adjustments and material needs.Set up, run, and maintain manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders for tooling fabrication, modification, and repair.Interpret blueprints and CAD models to define machining steps and tolerances.Perform precision machining that meets exact dimensional and surface finish targets.Adjust machines/fixtures using scales, rules, calipers, micrometers, and thread or plug gauges.Follow the molding schedule; execute insert changes and ensure tooling readiness.Observe running molds to identify tooling issues or machine malfunctions early.Measure mold and part dimensions to confirm machining accuracy.Complete daily crane and lifting equipment inspections.Carry out preventive maintenance on molds and tools.What qualifications are required?High school diploma or GED.One-year certificate from a college or technical school plus three years of machine shop experience (required).
